Failure Mode Analysis of Intelligent Ship Positioning System Considering Correlations Based on Fixed-Weight FMECA

Currently, intelligent ships are still in the early stages of development terms autonomous navigation and berthing, so almost no source fault data can be obtained. Conducting an in-depth analysis failure modes is critical to optimizing design smart ensuring their normal safe navigation. In this paper, fixed-weight Failure Mode Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA) combined with decision-making trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method analyze effects ship positioning systems. This not only overcomes traditional FMECA methods differentiate between severity, incidence, detection rates but also allows correlation causes analyzed, bringing results closer reality. Through expert scoring modes, system risk-ranked, key identified. Correlations then considered. According results, high-accuracy attitude sensor was identified as subsystem highest level risk. Unavoidable, unknown failures environmental factors were found causing failures. The conclusions provide a reference for equipment safety
